An element from a dream I had a couple nights ago was a clay dragon model. I was almost finished with it and about to fire it when I woke up, and then once I was awake I had an intense desire to build the model I saw in my dream. But since I don't have any clay (or even if I did, I probably lack the ability) to make it, I turned to the next available medium. Which was, of course, the Painter Classic.
The grass was annoying and I probably wouldn't have drawn it if I wasn't trying to make it as close as possible to how it looked in my dream. Remarkably, this looks pretty much exactly how I invisioned it! The only major difference being that a bit of the membrane on the extended wing had some holes in it that I was trying to fix. I fixed them in painter.
Lah, I had to look at it a few times to make sure it was CG. o_o I'm either tweeking out, or you're getting too good at this. o_o
dear gods, Lah. The pose is awesome as is the shading.

That's amazingly beautiful, and you really captured the "feel" of a clay sculpture. Even down to the little scratched signature! Beautiful work as always. *returns to mostly-lurking*
Good lord...for a moment there, I'd thought you to have actually sculpted this out. Nevertheless, it's a cool idea to execute in drawing, and you seem to have portrayed it well
All I can say is wow! You did a great job on this!
The form of the dragon is very solid and it feels as though it has structure.
Very nice! I think you should actually try to do it.... working with clay is fun...even if it doesn't come out the way you would like, just messing with a new medium is always fun!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
