It's actually on a chunk of illustration board I just chopped out. I don't typically work in any size in particular. I just use whatever's lying around.

I do that with watercolour paper because the good stuff is so expensive.

Fantastic lighting effects here. I really like the warm and the cool together, and how it looks like snow is reflecting off his fur.

Good painterly look, too. It almost looks like an ink job.
