OH THE DELICIOUS CONTRAST. MMMM CONTRASTY.

So, this is a commission for Morghus, who is not on dA as far as I know. Of the reference he gave me, one of them involved this little purple flower and for some reason I became so enamored with the flower that I drew it back in. Except it's dead now. I just liked the idea of this huge and somewhat beefy black and white dragon holding a sad-looking flower, smiling gently and enigmatically.... like some kind of Grim Reaper of flora. (He has a black thumb. And black everything.) Maybe he's holding it as a memento of times since past. The flower is dead but the memory lives on. Maybe it has something to do with his expression. OR MAYBE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS EXPRESSION AND I JUST MADE IT UP. Obviously I've had TOO MUCH TIME to think about this.

I like the combination of huge, towering cumulous clouds with cirrus. It looks like summer to me.

Good gosh your clouds are amazing. The dragon is great too; black looks good against those summer colors. The blurred grass in the foreground gives a great sense of space and distance.
